Hello First Grade Families,
We are quickly approaching the end of the trimester. With that being said, please make sure to spend some extra time working with your student on their math pages, reading and some writing practice as well. Here in first grade we try to be good cops, which mean we use capitals, have open spaces, use punctuation and pay attention to our spelling.
Conferences are the week of November 13th-17th. If there is a prefered time or day of the week you have please email me at cvangaale@slcusd.org.
Tuesday, October 31st is Book Character Dress-up Day. We are asking that students not dress up in Halloween costumes, but rather their favorite book character. Please see the attached flier here.
If you would like your student to have picture retakes, the date is November 1st. Here is a flier regarding picture retakes.
Homework for the week is as follows:
Read Little Books
Practice words see, can, my
Math pages 29-31
Let me know if you have any questions and have a great week!
Mrs. Van Gaale
